B-COMPETENT is launching a new free online Train-the-trainer seminar in Spain for prison staff

European standards related to the management and treatment of Foreign prisoners, with a special focus on foreign women's conditions in prison

This online free seminar, which forms part of a series of 6 Train-the-Trainer workshops developed within the European project B-COMPETENT, will focus on international and European standards and principles related to  fundamental rights of Foreign National Prisoners.  A special attention will be placed on the rights and needs of foreign women in prison

The workshop will be led by B-COMPETENT trainers, with the participation of Dr. Xabier Etxebarria Zarrabeitia, (U. Complutense de Madrid), who address country-specific issues from an international perspective, focusing on best practices exchange and case studies. 

The webinar will be delivered in Spanish.

Participants will be actively involved through Q&A sessions with experts. We will make the most of the technical tools available to deliver an intensive, interactive experience.

10:00 – 10:15: Welcome speech
10:15- 10:45: Presentation of the Project and the Workshop
Dr. Mónica Aranda and Dr. Alejandro Forero (B-ComPetent reseachers)


10:45 - 12:00: European standards in working with foreign prisoners. Special attention to the needs of women.
